In this webpage, you will see a candid look at someone who has lived most of her life trying to do what she "should" only to find that it was not a happy life. Sure I had some great moments of happiness, but an inner sense of satisfaction and joy... now that was missing.
Since I have come out and become okay with me, I have found a life for living! My hope is to tell some of my experiences and to give others a venue to share theirs. In the end maybe we can all be liberated in being ourselves.
Don't get me wrong. This isn't just for the queer folk. I want to hear from anyone who has found a way to reap the most joy out of life. How did you find the courage to come to your own in a world that has so many expectations?
Supreme hopes for you all in finding and following your bliss!!
I was married for 22 years, raised 4 children, and lived the Mormon life until I felt like I would die inside (and/or commit suicide). Then, I divorced, formed a relationship with the woman of my dreams, and did the unthinkable for a Utahn...got married (in Iowa). My kids are loving and accepting, as are our families and most people generally. Life is GREAT!
